Long before his products for Target were ubiquitous and in the same decade his Post Modern temples in Portland and Louisville delighted [and confounded], Michael Graves designed this candy dish for Swid Powell. Italian maker Cleto Munari produced this hand hammered bowl sitting on a cruciform base. This design is featured in Annette Tapert’s Swid Powell: Objects by Architects and an example is in the collection of the Yale University Art Gallery.
