These “Meier” Candlesticks are companions to the Meier Fruit Bowl, sharing the combination of circular forms and square pierce openings a la Hoffman and Mackintosh. Like much of Swid Powell’s early pieces, these candlesticks are an expression of the architect’s oeuvre in tabletop form.
Purchased directly from Cleto Munari, in 2021, one of this pair is a production model from another vendor and the other unmarked candlestick is a [superior] prototype by Cleto Munari.
