Rörstrand was founded in the castle of Rörstrand in Stockholm in 1726 making it the second oldest ceramic factory in Europe after Meissen.
Inger Persson was only 22 when she started working at Rörstrand in 1959. She became an exemplar of Swedish ceramic design of 20th century.
