Wedgwood’s Ravenstone matte black glaze [along with its counterpart white glaze, Moonstone] was developed in the 1930s by Norman Wilson, master potter, inventor and Wedgwood Works Manager. More satin or eggshell than matte, the glaze accentuates the urns’ classic form.
