Van Day Truex [1904-1979] was an interior designer, painter, and professor of design. He led Parsons Paris and then New York from 1926 - 1952. After a stint as artist-in-residence at the American Academy in Rome, Day Truex returned to New York and was appointed the design director of Tiffany & Co. These faux rock crystal candlesticks are one of a number of lasting designs he created for Tiffany. No longer in production.
