Chicago based Stanley Tigerman and Margaret McCurry were partners in life and business. They designed a number of tabletop objects for Swid Powell in the 1980s and 1990s that like their architectural commissions displayed a playful and irreverent approach. This Wings picture frame seems to be the only silverplate object they designed and was likely produced in limited numbers and is therefore quite scarce. It, like many of the Swid Powell pieces, can be found in the collection of the Yale Art Gallery.
