Ron Arad is an Israeli designer living and working in the UK. Arad’s constant experimentation with the possibilities of materials combined with his radical re-conception of the form and structure of objects and spaces has put him at the forefront of contemporary design and architecture.
Arad's Ringoletto vase for Rosenthal is a spiral of porcelain fitted with a corresponding coil of steel that twists to extend the height of the vase to 17 inches. They were produced in two sizes and sold in black, white, and silver along with some custom colors commissioned as corporate gifts.
