This verdigris striped bronze bowl was designed by Maurice Ascalon [1913-2003]. Considered the father of modern Israeli decorative arts movement, Ascalon founded Pal-Bell Co. [1939-1956]. Ascalon's iconic metalworks include a deliberate use of verdigris, or a chemically induced green patina.
