Royal Copenhagen Creative Director Nils Thorsson designed most of the shapes in the BACA and Tenera ranges. A group of artists and designers including Marianne Johnson designed many of the patterns and motifs applied to those forms. Johnson's Tenera vase design incorporating plants and a trellis pattern in light blue and purple on a white ground were handpainted by another artist [unknown] who's initials appear along with Johnson's MJ on the bottom of the vase.
