Harry Allen (born 1964) is an American industrial and interior designer who has created furniture, lighting, products, and interiors for a variety of international clients. Notable designs include the interior of the seminal design store Moss, the Reality line for Areaware, and the bottle for Marc Jacobs' Bang perfume. His work is in the permanent collection of Museum of Modern Art (NYC), the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Denver Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Designed for Ikea, Kila was inspired by Allen's long-standing interest in rollerskating. Three rubber wheels support the lamp and allow it to move in circles. He says, “Kila spins on its axis as if it had been practicing that move in the rink for years.” The bright red metal lamp, playful and reminiscent of 1960’s European design received an Honorable Mention in I.D. Magazine’s 2004 Design Review.
