After working with Gio Ponti, Cetti Serbelloni, Bruno Munari and other masters of Italian Design, Giuliano Malimpensa established Mesa near Lake Como in Italy in 1980 with the goal of merging contemporary design with the tradition of Italian Silversmithing. A glass shard seems to bifurcate the silver bowl that floats above the surface it sits on.
