For the Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2013 Menswear Collection, designer Kim Jones– in his first of many collaborations to come – worked with Jake and Dinos Chapman on a series of motifs across knits, pocket squares and accessories. Inspired by French baroque florals and Diana Vreeland’s red New York apartment she described as a Garden in Hell, the Chapmans created a textile of menacing vines and otherworldly characters all eyeballs, owls, and teeth. This blanket was one of only a few produced and has been mounted on linen and placed in a custom acrylic box for display. It is a fantastic collector’s piece at the convergence of art and fashion.
