French industrial designer Cédric Ragot [1973-2015] established his eponymous studio in 2002 in Montreuil, France. His eclectic portfolio ranges from consumer electronics and tableware to furniture, sports equipment, and beyond for clients including Bitossi Ceramiche, Artuce, Swarovski, Krups, Roche Bobois, LaCie, and Häagen-Dazs.
Fascinated by materials’ plasticity and limits of deformability, Ragot designed a new vase series for Rosenthal. A continued exploration of movement Ragot began with the 2007 Fast vase, Squall is a whirlwind cast and immortalized in porcelain, here gold plated.
