Carolyn Leung graduated Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. There she discovered a love of graphics and an affinity for hand building in clay. Carolyn founded The Bittersweet Pottery Company in 1976, which she co-owned and operated with her husband, in New York City and then Stone Ridge, to which the family moved in 1988. She was a member of the American Craft Council and exhibited her work in their venues throughout her career.
